COMPOSITION: Each film-coated tablet contains:

Mephenesin............................................. 500 mg

Excipients: Lactose, Microcrystalline cellulose, Povidone, Crospovidone, Magnesium stearate, Colloidal anhydrous silica, Opadryl II white, Sunset yellow, Ponceau 4R lake q.s. one tablet.

INDICATIONS:

It is used for supportive treatment of painful muscle spasmin spinal osteoarthritis and static vertebral disorders such as stiff neck,torticollis,backache,lumbago,andother spastic states.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Adults and children from 15 years old and older: take by mouth 1.5g to 3g/day, divided in 3 doses (500 mg tid).

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Mephenesin is concerned as unsafe for patients with porphyria.
• Patients with hypersensitivity to mephenesin or any ingredient of this product.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

• Patients with a history of allergy, asthma, allergic reactions related to drug, especially aspirin.
• People with respiratory disease, muscle weakness, a history of abuseor substance dependence, impaired liver, kidney function.
• Concomitant use with alcohol and CNS depressants may increase undesirable effects related to the drug.

Use in pregnancyand lactation

Since there are no adequate and controlled studies in pregnant and nursing women, this drug should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.

PRESENTATION: Blister of 10 film-coated tablets; box of 10 blisters.
